Thematic Project

Mr.Radzi had briefly talk about the group assignment that named as Thematic Project in last week class hour session. It’s a combination of what we had learned the whole semester, so we need to do a lot of step which is association mind-map, logical mind-map, random word association, and we need to come with one animation clip and 800words of essay. Each of us was stunned after Mr.Radzi showed us one of the fcm’s senior works!! It’s was very amazing for us and we were worried that we don’t have such idea to complete it. But very luckily that our topic isn’t difficult as we thought which is “Creativity in the context of Multimedia University”. And we do have a lot of consultation hour with Mr.Radzi and Mr.Halim.

Each of us comes out with a lot of ideas to complete the first mind-map which is association mind-map. We keep discussing about the context of MMU but which have to relate to the creativity as well. So we basically start with stereotypes to complete it which is “branch, people, environment, faculties, culture”. This is the mind-map we had done after all :

Yes! What we choose is SWEET!
It sounds like not creativity and a little bit far away from the main topic at the started.
But in the 1st consultation, Mr.Radzi said it's a good idea and thanks to my group members whom make this work!

Multimedia University, the Sweet Wonderland of Creativity

Once upon a time, there is a wonderland full with vast amount of sweets, named Multimedia University, the Sweet Wonderland of Creativity. There are a group of youngsters, Pink, Red, Yellow, Purple and Blue, leave their home to further their study in this Sweet Wonderland and experience their lives independently. They become best friend forever because they have the same sweet dreams.

Each of them has different personality. Pink is sweet talker. She is very popular among the students and lecturers in MMU. Red is very well known guy in MMU because he likes to eat a lot especially sweet things. He spend his whole day to eat, in class, while walking, while sleeping he will munch chewing gums, and even while bathing.

When talk about sky and ocean, we think of blue. Blue is a thinker. He likes to live in his fantasy world. Blue imaginations are just like the sky and ocean, wide and unlimited. Here we go to the sweet couple, Yellow and Purple. They fall in love when they first met. Since then, they have been together forever. Yellow is good in logic and numbers while Purple is good in colors and shapes. They always discuss together and get opinions from their sweetheart while solving problem. They are the most perfect couple in the world.

This group of friends, with their different type of personality, makes the most powerful combination in this Sweet Wonderland of Creativity. They are criteria of being creative. To be creative, first you have to know and understand what your aim is. Second, step to be creative is to make your brain stress-free. Then, being creative are thinks out of box. You have to think differently than other people. Lastly, the misconception that creativity is purely right brained. Yellow good in using left brain while Purple good in using right brain. Real creativity involves both brains just like Yellow and Purple make the perfect combination of imperfection. When these five colors combine together, you will get the color that is beyond your imagination.

Scary Cats

This morning, we were asked to draw or write out some ideas on how to scare human away by using the concept of a cat. i came out with this :

The cat's claws. I thinking of using the claws to scratch on the surrounding to make it like there was a very dangerous place to be.

Mr. Halim told me to change the surroundings to instead scratches on the human body, its a good one, then i came out with an idea of putting a human model and hang it there and the body has scratches all over.

Well at least it's scary for me..

Combination

Alright today, Mr. Radzi taught us about combination, the combination of different animals will get what, combination of 2 total unrelated stuffs will get what.. Here's the 1st combination exercise we did in class.

The 1st combination I did is Clown Fish + Pig = Clown Pig ( just kidding ). Mr. Radzi said it still can survive by the pig head lift it's head on the surface of the water to breath n the fish body to move in the water. Still can survive while on the ground too, because the pig head can breath normally on the ground ( well he got some points there... )

The 2nd combination is Lion + Eagle = Ligle ( kidding again ). Mr. Radzi said it still can survive.

Then he revealed the answer is Fish + Bird ( oh my, almost got it right ). Don't know where to put this kind animal, in aquarium or bird cage ? that's why it will never ever get to survive.

Then the next combination is about Chili + Love, Mr. Radzi asks us to make a poem out that relating both stuffs. Ok...

Women just like mortar and pestle,

They bring us spices, bitters, and sweets in our life.

Next is Life + Light,

Life is just like the light,

No matter how bright it is,

It will blacked out someday.

Next would be Ice Cream + Pain,

Pain just like ice cream,

It will slowly melt away.

Last one is Time + Happiness,

Time will heals the sadness,

The longer it is,

The more happiness will comes.

Analogy Advertistment

Well, this advertistment somehow i find it interesting and really straight to the point there. It may looks simple but the structure inside its not. :P

Juxtaposition

In the last class activity,we do an activity called as Juxtaposition.Well,it is something like provebs,it kind of fun though,we were shown by Mr Radzi a simple mix and match number and words like below :

Then we were asked again to build a phrase by using both of the different words and this is i come out with,

1.A flower needs water to live.
2.Fire need wood to light longer.
3.The rock and roll dog.

From the the phrases above,we were asked to visualize it and i have come out with the visual as below :

Then we were asked to create a new thing according to the combination of words.

Mortar & Pestle

Do you know that this thing is going to extinct ? What would our grand-grand-grand children would think of this thing ? Now, my task is, I as a famous archeologist in the world in year maybe 2100 ? I discover this thing and my job is to interpret this thing. So this are the solutions I came out with :

1) This is a weapon back in year 2000, the pestle is used as a blunt weapon and mortar as a small shield.

2) This is used to curse people back then. How it is works ? First place the picture of the person you hate the most in this world, then you use the pestle to hit the picture. This was believed that after you hit the picture of the person that you hate the most, the person will die or disappear in this world.

3) In China, they believed that women with small legs is the most beautiful women in the world. So they used this to hit the women's leg into smaller size. No pain, no gain.

My Mind Mapping
